1. Personal data collected

We collect the following personal data:

  • Browsing data: indirizzo IP, tipo di browser, pagine visitate, data e ora di accesso, durata della visita. WooCommerce usa temporaneamente l’indirizzo IP con un database MaxMind installato localmente per distinguere Italia/non Italia; Matomo registra esclusivamente indirizzi IP anonimizzati e opera in modalità cookieless.
  • Contact form data: name, email address, subject and content of the message, provided voluntarily.
  • Shipping data: first name, last name, shipping address, phone number, provided at the time of purchase and necessary for order fulfillment.
  • Payment data: processed directly by payment providers (Stripe via WooCommerce Payments, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay) and never stored on our servers.
  • Customer account data: email, username and password (encrypted) for the My Account area.

2. Purpose of processing

Personal data is processed for:

  • Execute orders and manage shipments
  • Provide customer support and respond to contact requests
  • Send order-related communications (confirmation, tracking, shipping status)
  • Comply with legal obligations (invoicing, tax retention)
  • Ensure the security and proper functioning of the site

3. Legal basis for processing

  • Contract (art. 6.1.b GDPR): processing necessary for the execution of the purchase contract.
  • Legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR): processing necessary to comply with tax and retention obligations.
  • Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f GDPR): site security, fraud prevention, anonymous site usage statistics via Matomo.
  • Consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR): where required, for marketing communications (not currently planned).

4. Cookies and statistics

The site uses exclusively necessary technical cookies for operation:

  • Session cookies for the cart and checkout process (WooCommerce)
  • Cookie tecnico temporaneo per distinguere la variante geografica Italia/non Italia nella cache (woocommerce_geo_hash)
  • Security cookies for payment
  • Language preference cookies (TranslatePress)
  • Anti-spam cookies for the contact form (CF7 Captcha)

Visit statistics are collected via Matomo, open source analytics software installed on our servers (first-party). Matomo is configured in cookieless (does not set any statistical cookies), IP addresses are anonymized before registration and no user identifiers are collected. The data collected (pages visited, visit duration, browser, country) is used exclusively in aggregate form to improve the site.

The site does not use profiling cookies, third-party analytical cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel) nor advertising cookies. Therefore, it is not necessary to display a cookie consent banner.

5. Data Sharing

Data may be shared with:

  • Payment provider: Stripe (via WooCommerce Payments), PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Amazon Pay, for payment processing according to their respective privacy terms.
  • Courier: Necessary shipping data is transmitted to the courier for delivery.
  • Hosting provider: data is hosted on protected servers in compliance with GDPR. Matomo is installed on the same servers and statistical data is not shared with third parties.
  • Competent authorities: where required by law.

The data are not sold, transferred for marketing purposes, or transferred outside the EU..

6. Data retention

  • Order and billing data: 10 years (Italian tax obligation)
  • Contact requests: 12 months from the resolution
  • Matomo statistical data: stored in aggregate form for a limited period and in any case not exceeding 6 months
  • Cart session data: 48 hours

7. Rights of the data subject

Pursuant to Articles 15-22 of the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access: obtain confirmation of the processing and a copy of your data
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure: request the deletion of your data (right to be forgotten)
  • Restriction: restrict processing in certain circumstances
  • Portability: receive your data in a structured and readable format
  • Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interest, including Matomo statistics
  • Revocation of consent: where processing is based on consent

8. Right to complain

You can submit a complaint to the supervisory authority: Data Protection Authority, Piazza Venezia 11, 00187 Rome.

9. Changes to this Privacy Policy

The Data Controller reserves the right to update this privacy policy in the event of legislative or organizational changes. The latest version is always published on this page.
